An intimate birthday party to celebrate a dear friend and wedding photographer

Stepping outside the world of weddings to celebrate someone who works tirelessly in our industry was truly a delight!

Before we dive into Anna Page's moody 40th birthday celebration in Milwaukee, let's rewind to our first meeting. It was during a COVID wedding in 2020 that transformed into an intimate and amazing private residence wedding in Door County. Anna and I immediately connected, sharing a love for intimate gatherings and people who follow their hearts.

After enduring a challenging couple of years, Anna decided to celebrate herself surrounded by her nearest and dearest at Muza Church in Milwaukee. The former church, brimming with charm and whimsy, was beautifully curated by Margaret Muza and provided the perfect setting for Anna’s party.

I saw this celebration as akin to a butterfly emerging from its cocoon. Anna deserved to be showered with love, to be reminded of her immense value, and to move past some of the sad experiences, looking forward to brighter days ahead.

Anna thoughtfully assembled a small but mighty team of vendors to bring her celebration to life. Guests enjoyed private tarot card readings, tintype photos, and delicious bites and cocktails from Bartlett Dining, all while honoring and celebrating Anna.

Playing a small role in Anna’s birthday felt like an early birthday gift to myself. Industry professionals work so hard for their clients, and it was a joy to shower a creative entrepreneur with the love and appreciation she truly deserves!
